My husband and 2 daughters relocated back to our home state of SC in 2009 GO TIGERS!. I was VERY fortunate in obtaining a position at Wando High School as a DIT teacher in the spring of 2009 while a fellow colleague pursued his administration certification. He was unable to obtain all of his credits so I went into Special Education. I taught SpEd for 2 years and was fortunate enough to get back into "business" this year.

  • I am currently struggling with Multimedia!
  • Fireworks, Dreamweaver, and Flash are really rough!

I know by taking this class I will be a much better instructor for our unit on MovieMaker!

Thanks in advance! :) (also, thanks for letting a true stranger borrow your credit card!)

Kaye Hinson - Movie Maker Project
Classroom Connections: I have recently joined the BusEd department at Wando High School. Wando has an incredible CTE department. I would like to enhance my knowledge of Digital Multimedia including Movie Maker. I can immediately implement my project as we soon begin Movie Maker. Our students are very computer savvy and I need to set the bar "high" for them! My movie maker project will give them "inside" information about me. My students often ask me questions about my life outside of school. They immediately know that I'm a die hard Clemson fan. I would like for my students to make their own project "All About Me". I want the students to choose and share (via Movie Maker) a portion of their interests, lives, etc. with the class.I bleed ORANGE. There is a huge rivalry within our classrooms during football season. I spend every weekend at Clemson for home games. My students and I discuss (sometimes a little too much!) the prior weekend's events and wins and losses. This is one way I have found that helps "Capture Kid's Hearts". I selected various images and included personal photos of my family. I want our classroom to be a learning environment most importantly, but, also an inviting room where students spend the majority of each day and feel they can ask me questions, make suggestions, and comments.
